What happens during our suit design consultation?

The consultation is where the magic occurs! I spend the time getting to know you, so I’m clear on your competition goals. During our meeting, we will discuss the design of your suit and how my design process works. Next, we will address your posing and presence coaching if that was included in your package. Finally, we will review all the other details of your package, so you are clear on everything. In short, we will work together to design a beautiful one-of-a-kind show day package.

What happens after I buy one of your suits or show day packages?

Upon purchasing your suit or show day package, you will be invited by email to book your 1-on-1 design consultation. During our consult, we will discuss the design of your suit, including considerations of fabric colors, stoning, connectors, and the stages of the fitting of your suit. Next, we review all the other details of your package, so you are clear on everything. In short, we will work together to design a beautiful one-of-a-kind show day package.

How long does it take to design my suit?

Typically, it depends on the month and how many shows are coming up, but as a rule of thumb, about 4 to 6 weeks out from your show is when we should begin. How long has Shawn's Couture Cuties been in business?

In 2011, I launched Shawn's Couture Cuties (SCC) out of my desire to offer show day services that were simply much better. I noticed that most of the suits in the market were overpriced, and many of them were constructed with low-quality materials. In fact, when I first started competing, if you wanted a top-of-the-line suit embellished with Swarovski crystal, it cost well over $2500, which was way outside my price range. What types of crystal stones are used on your suits?

I use three types of crystal stones: Preciosa, Austrian Luxe & Swarovski. All the crystals I used are excellent crystals and bling beautiful. You would be hard-pressed to tell the difference unless you knew what you were looking for.

What is the PRO Performer Promise?

The PRO Performer Promise (PPP) was launched in 2016 to support the Cutie Community amateur athlete with a built-in show day sponsorship. Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer flexible payment options. However, when using an easy pay plan 50% of your payment needs to be collected before we can begin constructing your suit. Of course, full payment needs to be made prior to shipping your stage-ready suit. Payment terms are shared at the point of sale when you are ready to make your purchase.

How do you feel about off-the-rack suits?

I’m not a big fan of buying off-the-rack suits, which is why I don't offer a point-and-buy website. As a designer, I know you can’t consistently deliver a well-fitted suit through a cookie-cutter model. Yes, it’s easy to find a nice suit online, but finding a suit that is both beautiful and fits right is hit-or-miss at best. What type of materials do you use?

I never cut corners on my materials. When constructing my suits, I source and use the best fabrics, connectors, and stones that I can get my hands on. And when I find materials that are extraordinary I stock up on it. In short, you can rest assured that your suit will be constructed to last. In fact, I’ve had clients that still compete in suits that they purchased over 6 years ago.

What type of suits do you make?

I design suits for every division including Bikini, Wellness, Figure, and Women’s Physique.

How do I get fitted for my suit?

Do you have sales?

Yes, we host three big sales events per year. One in January/February during our annual Athlete Search, in July we launch our legendary Sizzling Summer Suit sale, and finally in November, our Black Friday Super Sale. We also do a smaller promotion during Christmas, the 12 Days of Christmas Sale.
